CAUSES OF PELVIC FLOOR WEAKNESS

The pelvic floor can deteriorate due to pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, strenuous sports, chronic cough, etc.

• Pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period : these are the main risk factors that predispose a woman to pelvic floor dysfunction. During pregnancy, due to the weight of the uterus, which overloads the tissues.

During childbirth, due to the passage of the baby through the vagina, the condition is aggravated by large baby weight or significant and aggravated head circumference if an episiotomy has to be performed. In cesarean births, weakening of the pelvic floor can also occur.

HYGIENE AND MAINTENANCE
